  • Installation: Assemble, install, and calibrate electronic systems and components according to blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and service checks to ensure equipment is running at peak efficiency. This can include cleaning components and updating software.
  • Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faulty electronic equipment by identifying and replacing damaged parts or reprogramming software.
  • Testing: Conduct diagnostic tests to ensure systems meet performance standards and specifications. This includes using tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of all installation, maintenance, and repair tasks performed for auditing and future reference.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineers and other technicians to assist in product development, prototyping, and system upgrades.
  • Safety and compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent coursework in electronics or a related field.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters) and experience with soldering and rework.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Attention to detail: A high level of precision and meticulousness is critical for handling intricate electronic systems.
  • Communication skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to liaise with colleagues and provide updates on work.
  • Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
