Timings: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Day Shift)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable database architectures to support multiple backend modules.
  • Create and manage both relational and NoSQL schemas (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch) to efficiently store and retrieve large volumes of data.
  • Set up and manage replication, partitioning, sharding, and clustering strategies to ensure data scalability and high performance.
  • Define and maintain robust backup, restore, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and caching strategies using tools like Redis or Memcached.
  • Implement and enforce data security and compliance policies (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) including encryption at rest and in transit.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to improve ORM query performance and optimize database connections (e.g., Hibernate, JPA, TypeORM).

Must-Have Technical Skills :

  • Solid hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (preferred) and MySQL.
  • Working knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra, and search technologies such as Elasticsearch.
  • Familiarity with high-availability setups, replication, and data partitioning techniques.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with cloud-managed databases such as AWS RDS/Aurora, GCP Cloud SQL, or Azure SQL.
  • Exposure to monitoring tools such as pgAdmin, Percona Toolkit, Grafana, or Prometheus for tracking DB health and performance.

Nice-to-Have / Bonus Skills :

  • Experience with analytical databases or big data platforms such as ClickHouse or BigQuery.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL pipelines, and data ingestion workflows.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Liquibase for DB version control.

Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience in database engineering, data architecture, or backend data design.

Soft Skills :

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, DevOps, and security teams.
  • Good communication and documentation skills, especially for maintaining database design artifacts and access policies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45, ₹50,000.00 per month
