Job description

Job Title: Civil Site Engineer

Qualification:

  • Diploma or B.E. in Civil Engineering

Experience:

  • 3+years (depending on requirement)
  • Experience in building construction, infrastructure, or related civil works preferred

Job Summary:

The Civil Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and managing day-to-day construction site activities to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of work as per drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and execute construction work as per approved plans and specifications.
  • Ensure materials used and workmanship meet required quality standards.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and maintain site records.
  • Coordinate with contractors, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth work progress.
  • Verify measurements and assist in billing work quantities.
  • Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage site resources effectively to minimize wastage and delays.
  • Assist in layout, leveling, and surveying at the site.
  • Communicate with the project manager/engineer regarding progress, issues, or required materials.
  • Check and ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering drawings and construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
  • Knowledge of estimation, measurement, and billing.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, testing, and quality control.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, AutoCAD preferred).
  • Teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
