Field Sales Executive

A Field Sales Officer in the pharmaceutical sector performs a variety of key duties:
- Product Promotion and Sales: Promoting and selling a company's pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and hospital staff.
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with key clients and stockists to ensure brand visibility and preference.
- Sales Targets: Achieving or exceeding assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets within a designated territory.
- Market Intelligence: Gathering market data, monitoring competitor activities, and providing feedback and insights to management.
- Presentations and Education: Conducting presentations and providing detailed scientific information on products to answer customer queries and inform them about new medications.
- Reporting and Administration: Submitting daily call reports, sales data, expense reports, and other necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
- Compliance: Adhering to all industry guidelines and regulations, including those for adverse event reporting.
Key Qualifications and SkillsSuccessful FSOs typically possess the following:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field is often required.
- Experience: Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related sales role is an advantage.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are crucial.
- Attributes: The role demands a self-motivated, results-driven individual with strong organizational and time-management skills, and a willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
