Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Senior. As an Accounting Senior based in India, you will be the backbone of our offshore finance operations. You will execute day-to-day accounting tasks, drive the month-end close, and ensure data integrity for Norstella's global entities. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and identify process enhancements that elevate our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and review complex journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
- Lead the monthly close cycle activities, including ledger reconciliations and variance analyses.
- Prepare and analyze intercompany transactions and reconciliations for multiple legal entities.
- Generate and deliver financial packs, supporting consolidated reporting for the global finance team.
- Support external and internal audit requests by providing schedules, documentation, and explanations.
- Identify inefficiencies in accounting workflows and propose automation or process-streamlining solutions.
- Act as a key point of contact for the US finance, FP&A, tax, and treasury teams on accounting queries.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analyses, system implementations, and data migration projects.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
Experience
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a shared services environment.
- Hands-on exposure to US GAAP and familiarity with IFRS or local Indian accounting standards.
- Prior work supporting US-based corporations or multinational finance teams.
Technical & Soft Skills
Proficiency in NetSuite (preferred), Excel, and accounting automation tools.
Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Collaborative attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
