Role Summary:
The Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance will support the Finance leadership in managing day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliances, payroll coordination, audits, and financial reporting for India operations. This is a hands-on role requiring strong execution skills, compliance awareness, and coordination with internal teams and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Operations
- Assist in day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain books of accounts as per Indian Accounting Standards and company policies
- Track expenses, accruals, provisions, and fixed asset accounting
- Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance
2. Statutory Compliance & Taxation Support
Assist in preparation and filing of statutory compliances including:
GST returns and reconciliations
- TDS / TCS filings
- Income Tax data preparation
PF, ESI, PT, LWF and other labor law compliances
Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors for timely submissions
- Support responses to notices from statutory authorities under guidance
3. Payroll Support
- Support end-to-end payroll processing for India employees
- Coordinate with HR for payroll inputs such as new joiners, exits, revisions, and reimbursements
- Ensure accurate statutory deductions and payroll compliance
- Assist in final settlements and payroll reporting
4. Audit & Internal Controls
- Support statutory, internal, and compliance audits
- Prepare audit schedules, data, and documentation
- Assist in closure of audit observations
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and processes
5. MIS, Budgeting & Reporting Support
- Prepare periodic MIS reports for management
- Track budget vs actuals and highlight variances
- Assist in cost analysis, overhead tracking, and margin reports
- Support forecasting and financial analysis as required
6. Vendor, Client & Banking Coordination
- Coordinate vendor payments and ensure timely processing
- Support invoicing, collections tracking, and reconciliations
- Liaise with banks for routine operational requirements
7. Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with HR, Operations, and Management teams
- Support Finance Manager in day-to-day finance-related requirements
- Supervise and guide junior accounts team members, assign tasks, and review work outputs
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance / M.Com / B.Com
- 5–8+ years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance (India)
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, payroll, and statutory compliances
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally / ERP / Zoho/ QuickBooks)
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Experience in IT / Services industry preferred
- Good attention to detail and compliance orientation
- Effective communication and coordination skills
