Application Engineer

Seco Tools India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for, Application Engineer / Manager (Job level P3)

Location & Area: Pune

Job Purpose

Seco is looking for a senior level Field Application Engineer with 8-20 years of experience in the Metal Cutting industry. The Field Application Engineer provides strong technical knowledge, advice and support to both internal sales force and externally to resolve requests regarding product/service technical issues and to maximize the benefits derived from the Seco products and/or services. The Application Engineer reports to the Regional Manager of Central India.

Main activités:

• Analyze the manufacturing problem and the customer's objective
• Organize and manage tooling up projects in contact with clients and in partnership with various internal and external stakeholders. He/she/they should be able to study the drawings of the components and evolve a complete tooling list with cut time and tooling costs.
• Carry out the tests and make the first optimizations.
• Verify that Client objectives are met.
• Present the profitability report to the customer and encourage purchases. Coordinate all technical actions carried out at the customer's site.
• Assist the Sales Team in the presentation of the products and solutions to customers.
• Collaborate on the sales plan developed with the Sales Team on the targeted customers.
• Record all the details of the tools trials and prepare trial reports showing benefits to the customer.
• Update the customer management software (CRM) with the information discussed during customer visits and trials.
• Monitor opportunities in the CRM and manage technical actions.
• Examine the customer-provided 3D models of the components, use CAM to determine the machining strategy, and use good proposal-making skills to estimate the machining time.

Other key responsibilities :

• Ensures high quality and latest updates of data and information on all sales activities in CRM w(Sugar) within assigned customer portfolio.
• Follows Internal Rules Regulations, in due time provides and correctly processes internal documents determined by the company.
• Constantly improves knowledge of the Seco Offer and quality of production, new tools and technologies.
• Constantly increases the level of professional development through the training arranged by the company, and independently.
• Carries out other requests of the company management concerning the activity of the company.

Candidate Profile

Education background: Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 8-20 years of experience in the fields of activity described above.

Fields of expertise: Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

IT competencies: Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint etc.), CAD and CAM ( 5 axis) experience desirable

Should be ready to travel to Kolhapur, Belgaum and nearby industrial areas.
