Recently we have launched a new initiative of "Solutions Center of Excellence" in GECIA to support global customer centers of OFA, IAT and AGA within CTBA.

As a part of this Organization, we are looking for a competent Application Engineer with commercial experience in Compressed Air who will always keep up to the speed on the latest technologies in these divisions

This position will report to Team Leader- Solutions Center of Excellence in GECIA.

Mission
Application Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force and are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. Working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate, the Application Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The Application Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Roles And Responsibilities
Develop and offer Compressed Air & Gas system solutions for customer specific applications.

Promote smart Total solutions to our customers globally

Develop, prepare and write technical proposals for compressor systems and solutions including Atlas Copco Product Portfolio such as dryers, filters, heat pumps, cooling systems, energy recovery solutions, to include compressor selection and performance calculations, rotor dynamic calculations, scope identification, deviations to client specifications etc, all according to company processes and procedures

To evaluate and clarify customer inquiries and specifications from various markets.

To complete thermodynamic and mechanical calculations using the company's proprietary design software

Perform process calculations according to customer-specific process requirements – Heat and Mass balance calculations, Energy Recovery calculations, Heating and cooling calculations for Heat pumps, cooling solutions etc to select appropriate Heat pumps, Cooling system products (Chillers, Coolers, Cooling water system, Heat recovery units etc) as a part of Total Solution.

Be responsible for the compliance to customer technical specifications and identifying deviations

Ensure the technical aspects of a proposal are complete and compliant with the customers' requirements and present our solutions in the most competitive way.

Ensure the correctness of the scope of supply.

Coordinate with multi-disciplinary team such as Marketing, Engineering, Supply chain and external vendors to ensure timely flow of information.

To succeed, you will need

Knowledge And Experience Requirements
Engineering Degree with 7-10 years industry experience as Sales Engineer, Design Engineer, Application Engineer or Project Engineer.

Having a sales background in Compressed Air or similar field experience is highly desirable.

Have solid understanding of basic Mechanical system and electrical, instrumentation control system.

Customer Center experience with Compressed Air is desired.

Understanding of various basic engineering documents like GA, P&ID, Single line diagram, Process flow diagram etc.

Commercial and technical knowledge of working in compressors /blowers/rotating equipment/turbo machinery.

Good understanding from customer requirement in sales.

Knowledge of Compressor application in Air/ Hydrocarbon industries would be Plus.

Be knowledgeable of compressor applications such as Oil & Gas, Pharma, Healthcare, Food and Beverage, Mining, Shipping, Automotive, Cement etc. and best technology to offer them as a solution including AC product portfolio.

Be knowledgeable of applicable API standards for Compressor, driven equipment and related auxiliaries.

Knowledge of API, ASME, DIN, GB, ISO and other international standards applicable in various countries globally.

Knowledge of engineering software's (CAD, PLM, SAP, CPQ) would be an added advantage.

Knowledge of Atlas Copco proprietary software "Airchitect", PASEL, Dryer Selection Tool would be an added advantage.

Educational requirement
BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering/Chemical Engineering

Job location

Hybrid - This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Pune Office.
