Role Overview

Seeking an Exchange Administrator (L3/L4) to manage and support Microsoft Exchange Server 2016/2019 onpremises and Exchange Online within Office 365. The role focuses on mailbox/database administration, email security (IronPort), hybrid mail flow, and daily health checks, with handson troubleshooting and basic PowerShell for operational automation.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong administration of Microsoft Exchange Server 2016/2019 and Exchange Online within Office 365/M365
  • Mailbox database administration, mailbox provisioning, quotas, and transport rules
  • Email security with IronPort gateway; monitoring and troubleshooting Exchange performance, connectivity, and queues
  • Hybrid mail flow monitoring and issue resolution; daily health checks for onprem Exchange
  • Retention tags and policies, litigation hold, and eDiscovery
  • Basic Exchange Management Shell/PowerShell scripting for administration

Responsibilities

  • Administer Exchange Server 2016/2019, Exchange Online, and Office 365 tenant features related to messaging
  • Manage mailbox databases, quotas, transport rules, retention tags/policies, litigation holds, and eDiscovery
  • Monitor and troubleshoot server performance, connectivity issues, hybrid mail flow, and mail queues
  • Perform daily health checks on Exchange onprem servers and track remediation actions
  • Operate and tune IronPort email gateway security services for spam/phish filtering and policy enforcement
  • Use Exchange Management Shell (PowerShell) for routine administration and reporting
