Pan-Asian Chef (Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Dim Sum)
Munjoh Ocean Resort – Andaman Islands
We are hiring a Pan-Asian Chef (excluding Chinese) with strong expertise in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese & Dim Sum cuisine. The role is hands-on, running a small kitchen team with focus on authenticity, innovation & guest experience.
Requirements:
- 6–12 yrs in Pan-Asian kitchens (hotels, resorts, fine dining)
- Must have worked in India (adapted Asian cuisine with local sourcing)
- Skilled in sushi, sashimi, ramen, dim sum, Korean BBQ, Thai curries, Vietnamese pho & salads
- Creative yet consistent – able to deliver high standards without large support staff
- Strong English communication (guest interaction & menu explanation)
- Doer mindset – proactive, resourceful, and solution-driven
Responsibilities:
- Design & execute Pan-Asian menus with local seafood & seasonal produce
- Deliver authentic cooking methods + modern plating & presentation
- Manage cost control, sourcing & inventory for island operations
- Curate signature dining experiences – live dim sum, beach grills
- Train junior staff on hygiene, consistency & technique
