We are seeking a Material Follow-Up Executive to join our growing SPM Manufacturing Team. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of SPM machine components, be able to read engineering drawings, handle vendors and employees, and efficiently manage material purchase and follow-up activities.

This role demands strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills to ensure smooth material flow for production and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and follow up with suppliers for timely material delivery.
  • Track and monitor material movement from vendors to the production unit.
  • Assist in material purchase activities such as preparing purchase requests, comparing quotations, and confirming orders.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings to identify material specifications and requirements.
  • Coordinate with the production and stores department to ensure materials are available as per the production schedule.
  • Handle employee coordination and material handling supervision within the department.
  • Maintain proper documentation for purchase orders, delivery notes, and stock updates.
  • Report daily material follow-up status to management and update pending lists regularly.
  • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and timelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

  • Qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical or Production Engineering (or related field).
  • Experience: 0 – 3 years in material follow-up or purchase coordination (preferably in an SPM or automation company).
  • Good understanding of SPM machine components and engineering drawings.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and documentation.
  • Ability to multitask, coordinate between teams, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Candidates from Chennai region are highly preferred.
