Organization Make-In-India EV Start up which is involved in designing , developing and manufacturing of EV components like Electric Motor, Drive, Converter and OBD Power Electronic Design and solutions. The company is founded by four young founders who are serial entrepreneurs and successful professionals with more than 14 years of corporate experience in various roles and capacities and hailing from India's top premier institutions like NITs and IIMs / SPJain / IIFT.
Role We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager with a background in manufacturing to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of quality control tools, standards, compliance requirements, and experience in the automotive industry, preferably with IATF audit and process experience. This individual will be responsible for leading our quality management system, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's quality management system (QMS) in accordance with industry standards, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality management frameworks.
  • Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and targets to track quality performance, analyze trends, and drive corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct internal audits of quality management processes, systems, and procedures to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate external audits and assessments by regulatory agencies, customers, and third-party certification bodies, ensuring successful outcomes and timely resolution of findings.
  • Manage the company's corrective and preventive action (CAPA) process, including root cause analysis, corrective action planning, implementation, and effectiveness verification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and customer service, to resolve quality issues, implement process improvements, and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of quality control tools and techniques, such as statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and quality planning.
  • Monitor and analyze product and process non-conformances, leading investigations, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurrence.
  • Communicate with customers regarding quality concerns, complaints, and corrective actions, fostering positive relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
  • Proven experience in quality management roles within the manufacturing industry, preferably in automotive or related sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and regulatory requirements, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, and MSA.
  • Experience in conducting internal audits, external audits, and supplier assessments, preferably with IATF audit and process experience.
  • Certified internal auditor for quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques, such as SPC, FMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions to improve quality performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance in quality management processes and documentation.
  • Proven leadership ability, with experience leading teams, driving change management initiatives, and fostering a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement
