Role & responsibilities

  1. Training & Skill Development

  2. Conduct hands-on training sessions on various makeup techniques, including bridal, fashion, editorial, theatrical, and everyday makeup.

  3. Teach students about skin preparation, color theory, face shapes, contouring, highlighting, eye makeup, lip techniques, and other advanced concepts.
  4. Demonstrate proper use of makeup tools, brushes, and products.

  5. Guide students on sanitation, hygiene, and safety practices in accordance with industry standards.

  6. Curriculum Delivery & Lesson Planning

  7. Develop and deliver a structured curriculum tailored to beginner, intermediate, or advanced learners.

  8. Prepare lesson plans, practical assignments, and exams to assess student performance.

  9. Keep training content up-to-date with the latest makeup trends, techniques, and product innovations.

  10. Student Assessment & Feedback

  11. Evaluate student progress through practical tests, portfolio reviews, and one-on-one feedback sessions.

  12. Offer constructive feedback to improve techniques, creativity, and professionalism.

  13. Mentor students on how to build confidence and refine their individual style.

  14. Product & Brand Knowledge

  15. Educate students about different cosmetic brands, product types, ingredients, and usage.

  16. Stay updated with industry trends and innovations to incorporate into training.

  17. Occasionally assist in product promotions or brand collaborations during workshops or events.

  18. Professional Development & Industry Exposure

  19. Share insights about freelancing, building a makeup portfolio, client communication, and managing bookings.

  20. Help students prepare for industry certifications, competitions, or job placements.

  21. Organize or assist in seminars, workshops, fashion shows, or live demonstrations for experiential learning.

  22. Administrative & Team Responsibilities

  23. Maintain student records, attendance, and performance reports.

  24. Coordinate with the academy management for class schedules, equipment needs, and event planning.
  25. Provide input for course improvements based on student feedback and industry requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Makeup Trainer with a strong foundation in professional makeup artistry and a flair for teaching. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in bridal, fashion, or commercial makeup and be capable of mentoring students with varying skill levels. A commitment to creativity, quality training, and staying updated with industry trends is essential.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification or diploma in professional makeup artistry from a recognized institution
  • Min. 4 years of industry experience as a makeup artist or trainer
  • Strong expertise in bridal, HD, glam, and everyday makeup techniques
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct both theory and practical sessions effectively
  • Familiarity with hygiene standards, skin prep, color theory, and cosmetic products
  • Prior teaching or training experience in an academy or beauty school is highly preferred
  • Up-to-date knowledge of makeup trends, tools, and global beauty brands

Candidates with portfolio work, experience in fashion shows, film/TV, or brand collaborations will have an added advantage.
