We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to oversee the daily operations of our truck fleet. The role involves managing vehicle schedules, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate records of all fleet activities, expenses, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, knowledge of fleet operations, and the ability to keep precise records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the company's fleet of trucks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Schedule and coordinate vehicle dispatch, routes, and driver assignments.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance, repairs, and licensing.
  • Track expenses related to fleet operations (fuel, tolls, insurance, repairs).
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor driver performance and maintain attendance, trip, and delivery records.
  • Maintain and update digital and/or physical records for easy access and reporting.
  • Plan preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
  • Prepare periodic reports on fleet utilization, expenses, and performance.
  • Liaise with vendors, service centers, and regulatory authorities when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or record-keeping.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations, vehicle maintenance, and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and fleet management software.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
