Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager – Presales & Technical is responsible for providing technical expertise, solution design, presales support, and project execution assistance across enterprise, networking, IT, and AV domains. The role involves understanding customer requirements, creating technical solutions, handling POCs, providing onsite support, managing warranty/RMA issues, and ensuring end-to-end technical compliance for tenders and projects.

Key Responsibilities1. Technical Support & Solution Design

  • Understand customer requirements and create appropriate technical solutions / proposals.
  • Prepare solution diagrams, technical presentations, BOQ, Technical Specifications (TS), and Scope of Work (SOW).
  • Provide Proof of Concept (POC) as required.
  • Conduct installation, configuration, and execution of assigned technical tasks within timelines.
  • Provide onsite technical support across customer locations.
  • Ensure timely handling of warranty and post-warranty calls.
  • Follow up on RMA issues with OEMs and ensure closure.
  • Prepare all required technical documents for tenders, RFQs, and project implementations.

2. Presales Support

  • Support the sales team through joint customer visits to understand technical requirements.
  • Identify and qualify leads through customer interactions and requirement assessments.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to evaluate OEM compatibility and optimal product selection.
  • Validate technical compliance before and after tender/RFQ submissions.
  • Work closely with OEMs to ensure compliance and propose the best-fit solutions to sales teams or clients.

3. People & Competency Development

  • Identify competency gaps for self and team; plan and attend internal/external trainings.
  • Obtain required certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, NSE) as per business needs.
  • Mentor and guide reportees to build a strong technical team and reduce attrition.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and ensure skill improvement.

4. Compliance, Communication & Processes

  • Ensure 100% adherence to all customer, OEM, workplace, and internal process compliances.
  • Provide periodic reports and maintain effective communication with management.
  • Support organizational transformation and change management initiatives.
  • Maintain coordination with cross-functional teams for smooth project execution.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Science / MCA / or related field.
  • Mandatory certifications: CCNA / CCNP or equivalent.
  • Preferred: NSE or equivalent certification in firewalls/cybersecurity.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Presales & Technical roles within Networking / IT / AV domain.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Switching, Routing, Firewall configuration and L3-level networking.
  • Knowledge of IP surveillance and cybersecurity solutions is preferred.
  • Experience handling technical teams and executing projects involving active network products.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to explain technical solutions effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹700, ₹800,000.00 per year
