Job Summary:
The Project Engineer (Solar) is responsible for the planning, design, and execution of solar energy projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. The engineer collaborates with cross functional teams, including design, construction, and operations, to achieve project objectives and optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Design:

o Develop detailed engineering designs and layouts for solar PV systems, including site plans, electrical schematics, and equipment specifications.

o Perform energy yield simulations and system optimization using software tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope). o Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for solar installations.

2. Project Management:

o Support project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

o Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

o Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager.

3. Technical Support:

o Oversee on-site installation and commissioning of solar systems to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.

o Troubleshoot technical issues during construction and post-installation phases. o Provide technical guidance to the construction team.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

o Ensure projects adhere to local codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.

o Collaborate with regulatory bodies and utility companies for interconnection agreements.

5. Quality Assurance:
o Conduct inspections and quality checks during construction to ensure adherence to design and performance standards.

o Review and approve equipment and material specifications.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

o Prepare project documentation, including as-built drawings, test reports, and operation manuals.

o Maintain accurate records of project milestones and deliverables.

Qualifications:


• Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.


• Experience:

o 3+ years of experience in solar energy projects, including design and construction.

o Familiarity with utility-scale or rooftop solar PV systems.


• Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and solar design tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope).

o Knowledge of electrical systems, power electronics, and grid interconnection.

Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination abilities.

Work Environment:


• Combination of office and fieldwork.


• Ability to work in various weather conditions at construction sites.
