Job Description: Google Workspace Administrator / Specialist

Experience: 4 to 12 Years

Location: Chennai

Budget: Upto 5 LPA

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Google Workspace Administrator who will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) environments to ensure seamless collaboration, productivity, and security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites, etc.).
  • Manage user accounts, groups, organizational units (OUs), and access controls within the Admin Console.
  • Implement and maintain security policies, compliance rules, and data loss prevention (DLP).
  • Configure SSO, identity management, and integrations with third-party tools.
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for Google Workspace applications.
  • Ensure data backup, retention, and recovery policies are in place.
  • Monitor system performance and generate reports & dashboards.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Google Workspace with other enterprise applications.
  • Conduct training sessions, documentation, and knowledge sharing for end-users.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Google Workspace administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Admin Console, APIs, and security controls.
  • Experience with email routing, DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC configurations.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management, MDM, and mobile security policies.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell / Python scripting for automation is a plus.
  • Understanding of cloud collaboration tools and enterprise security best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and end-user support skills.

Good to Have

  • Google Workspace Administrator / Professional Collaboration Engineer Certification.
  • Experience in migration projects (from O365, on-prem Exchange, or other platforms).
  • Familiarity with Okta, Azure AD, or other identity/access management tools.
  • Exposure to workflow automation tools like AppSheet, Zapier, or Apps Script.
