Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchasing Manager located in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The Purchasing Manager will oversee vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement activities. Responsibilities also include sourcing high-quality materials at the best cost, ensuring inventory levels, and collaborating with other departments for seamless operations. The role further involves analyzing market trends, evaluating supplier performance, and implementing cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Procurement and negotiation skills with experience in sourcing strategies and supplier management.
  • Inventory management and supply chain knowledge to ensure adequate stock levels and operational continuity.
  • Skills in market analysis, cost optimization, and developing effective purchasing strategies.
  • Proficiency in utilizing procurement software and tools for data management and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to align goals and processes efficiently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Master's degree or certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or machinery industry is strongly preferred.
