About the Role:

We are looking for a Site Reliability Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about infrastructure reliability, performance, and scalability. In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the stability and efficiency of our production systems, bridging the gap between development and operations through automation, monitoring, and incident response. You will design and implement solutions that improve the reliability, availability, and performance of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical production systems.
  • Develop and maintain observability solutions including monitoring, alerting, and logging.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents quickly, perform root cause analysis, and implement postmortem processes.
  • Design and maintain automation tools for deployment, infrastructure management, and incident remediation.
  • Create and enforce SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for speed, security, and reliability.
  • Partner with developers to ensure new features and services are production-ready.
  • Perform capacity planning, load testing, and system tuning.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and continuously work to reduce alert fatigue.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and service mesh technologies.
  • Familiarity with incident management frameworks (e.g., PagerDuty, Opsgenie).
  • Experience implementing SLOs and managing error budgets.
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD) are a plus.
  • Experience working in compliance-focused environments (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
