About the Role

Vigocare is looking for a hands-on Accounts Manager to lead our accounting operations in India. The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in Indian GAAP, be strong in receivables and cash flow management, and capable of driving timely invoicing, collections follow-up, and audit support. This role is critical to maintaining financial discipline in a growing, cross-functional setup.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monthly book closure
  2. Ensure timely monthly book closure.
  3. Possess hands-on experience in closing activities related to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Payroll, and necessary closing journal vouchers (JVs).-Ensure the Trial Balance (TB) is frozen before preparation of the monthly MIS and avoid backed entries.

  4. Manage a small team and drive accounts operation.

  5. Invoicing & Receivables

  6. Ensure timely and accurate raising of invoices as per agreed commercial terms.

  7. Track that invoices are shared promptly with customers (directly or via sales team).
  8. Follow up on receivables by coordinating with the respective sales/account managers.
  9. Monitor ageing reports, escalate delays, and ensure adherence to credit periods.
  10. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.

  11. Cash Flow Management

  12. Prepare and update weekly and monthly cash flow projections.

  13. Provide advance alerts to management on shortfalls or surplus.
  14. Liaise with internal teams on fund planning and payment scheduling.

  15. Payables & Expense Management

  16. Oversee vendor payments and ensure they are within due cycles.

  17. Manage employee reimbursements and other outflows with proper documentation.

  18. Team Management

  19. Lead and supervise a team of 4 accountants.

  20. Set goals, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to timelines and accuracy.

  21. Compliance & Audit Support

  22. Ensure TDS, GST, PF, ESI, and other statutory filings are done on time.

  23. Coordinate and support statutory and internal audits with necessary documentation and reconciliations.
  24. Maintain compliance with Indian accounting standards and internal controls.

  25. Cross-functional Collaboration

  26. Work closely with sales, operations, and leadership teams for seamless finance operations.

  27. Provide input on pricing, customer terms, and collection follow-ups from a finance lens.

Requirements:

Bachelor's/master's in commerce plus CA Inter or MBA Finance preferred.

5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, receivable/payable workflows, financial controls and MS office.

Excellent communication and follow-up skills.

Experience in leading a small team and working in a fast-paced environment.
