Role & responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed.
  • Negotiate purchase terms and conditions, including pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed to avoid shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.
  • Maintain and update records of all purchasing transactions, supplier contracts, and agreements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure long-term partnerships.
  • Work with internal teams to understand their requirements and provide support for their procurement needs.
  • Resolve any issues related to orders, such as delivery delays or discrepancies in quality or quantity.
  • Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors/Masters degree, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven 3-5yrs. experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in Civil or Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using purchasing software and Tally.
  • Experience from Civil & Electrical purchasing background.
