Role Summary
You will be our front‐line growth driver. Your primary responsibility is to
generate new Net Zero / carbon footprint / mitigation / sustainability projects
by pro‐actively contacting prospective clients (cold calling, email, networking), qualifying leads, pitching, and closing project orders. Execution / technical design is handled by other teams; your success is measured by the volume, quality, and value of projects you secure.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and target potential clients (IT sector buildings, Hospital buildings, Educational institutions/manufacturing / textile / leather / real estate / SME / industry clusters etc.) who may need services such as carbon baseline assessment, mitigation strategy, Net Zero planning.
Conduct cold outreach: cold calling, cold emailing, LinkedIn / professional networks to engage decision-makers.
Prepare and deliver tailored sales pitches, presentations, and proposals. Ensure messaging clearly conveys our value proposition in carbon assessment, mitigation, Net Zero journey.
Qualify leads, maintain follow-ups, negotiate terms, and close project contracts.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline; track leads, conversion metrics, and forecast revenue targets.
Coordinate with internal teams (technical, operations, finance) to ensure proposals are accurate and feasible.
Keep track of market trends, competitor offerings, regulatory / policy changes in sustainability / climate / Net Zero sectors that can influence demand.
Participate in relevant networking, seminars, webinars to find new leads.
Use CRM tools / sales tracking software to monitor outreach activities / response rates / close rates.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering / Environmental Science / Sustainability / Business / Marketing or related field.
2-4 years experience in business development / sales / lead generation, ideally in sustainability / energy / environment sectors. Experience in purely sales‐oriented roles (cold calling / pipeline building) is a plus.
Excellent communication and persuasion skills. Comfortable calling cold leads and speaking to senior decision makers.
Good presentation and proposal writing skills. Ability to explain technical or semi‐technical solutions in accessible terms.
Strong drive, self‐motivation, high resilience (often many cold calls with low response, so persistence matters).
Ability to learn technical concepts in carbon accounting, mitigation strategies, Net Zero, at least enough to pitch credibly.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with CRM tools desirable.
Results‐oriented mindset: target achiever; clear understanding of sales metrics (conversion rates, pipeline size, revenue target).
Willingness to travel for meetings / client visits.
Performance Metrics / Targets
Monthly / quarterly lead generation targets (number of cold calls, qualified leads, meetings scheduled).
Conversion targets: percentage of leads converting to proposals, contracts.
Revenue or project order value targets.
Pipeline growth: maintaining a healthy number of prospective clients in the sales funnel.
