Associate Manager, Project Management

About the Job:

Red Hat Experience Engineering (XE) is looking for an Associate Manager to join our growing XE AI and Data team. In this role, you will help grow and develop a new team focused on extending our use of AI capabilities across associate and customer experiences to create measurable impact, and on XE's foundational data assets, from governance to reporting strategy to cross-company data pipelines. We will need you to have experience leading a team in a technical, fast-paced environment, combined with a passion for improving the product, associate and customer experiences.

What will you do:

• Lead your team by using Open Management Principles, build and guide career development and enablement plans, provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to your team

• Understand and deliver expected outcomes based on XE AI and Data priorities

• Ensure that processes and collaboration are efficient and scalable to support the growth of our team's impact

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of a diverse team

• Promote and guide continuous professional and personal development of all team members

• Promote customer-centric mindset and enhance problem solving capabilities of the team

• Collaborate with XE teams, Product Engineering or Business Units, Quality Engineering, Documentation group as well as field teams like Sales function, Solution Architects or marketing teams as needed

• Maintain knowledge of current technologies and business trends to provide appropriate evaluation of each situation

• Create context for your team to understand what's important, why it matters, and how it connects to Red Hat's broader mission to deliver exceptional customer experiences Identify and advocate for resources (e.g., training, licenses for new tools, dedicated time for exploration) to support the team's ongoing AI literacy and adoption.

• Ensure your team understands and applies guidelines for the ethical use of AI within the team, addressing concerns such as data privacy, bias mitigation, intellectual property, and responsible disclosure.

What will you bring:

• 2+ years of experience leading engineering / technical project or program teams

• Experience building and scaling new teams

• Experience managing program/project teams in a technical environment

• Solid analytical skills and applied knowledge of a problem-solving process with a process and data mindset.

• Adept at communicating with and influencing project teams, engineers and managers

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of and/or experience with Artificial Intelligence solution development, terms, and concepts is preferred
