Training Specialist II, FinOps

This role requires one to be a self-starter with good business modeling skills, keen attention to detail and good track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders. This role has regular interaction with senior leadership and stakeholders across Amazon and requires good verbal and written communication skills. The candidate will need to be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy and hence needs to demonstrate a high degree of comfort with ambiguity besides holding a high bar on performance. The candidate will need to have a proven track record for hiring, developing and retaining the best talent.
Key job responsibilities
• Conduct training need analysis and continuously assessing employee's needs for training
• Design, Develop and Deliver learning solutions to address communication & behavioral learning needs of Finance employees and front-line managers
• Design and implement communication skills modules (English language written and spoken, behavioral, grammar, soft skills etc. for Voice and Non-Voice mediums) for new hires as well as existing employees.
• Deliver hybrid training (instructor led training and virtual training platforms) as well as explore innovative training delivery methods for evolving training needs catering to the Millennials and GenZ learners
• Ensure that the L&D curriculum is tracked and maintained in the Learning Management System
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys and feedback to measure learning outcomes and make continuous improvements
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
