Shopify Lead Developer (Team Lead – eCommerce Projects)

We are seeking an experienced Shopify Expert who can not only build high-performing eCommerce stores but also lead and mentor a small development team.

If you have a strong technical foundation in Shopify and a passion for delivering exceptional online experiences, we'd like to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide a team of Shopify developers and designers to deliver top-quality eCommerce solutions.
  • Develop, customize, and optimize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Oversee store setup, app integrations, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure high-quality code delivery, version control, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
  • Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and mentorship to the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
  • Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, metafields, JSON templates, and dynamic sections.
  • Strong background in custom theme development and Figma to Shopify conversions.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership or coordination.
  • In-depth understanding of Shopify apps, APIs, and performance best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Experience with Shopify Plus or headless builds (Hydrogen / ).
  • Knowledge of SEO and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization).
  • Familiarity with Git, Trello, Asana, or similar project management tools.
