About the Role

You'll own the path from idea → research → draft → publish. Your focus is to turn complex immigration topics into clear, credible, and useful content. You'll reference high-skill categories (e.g., O-1, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, L-1) when it helps understanding—but your north star is clarity, not jargon.

What You'll Do

  • Research: Track policy notes, credible sources, and case trends; extract insights worth publishing.
  • Write: Produce explainers, guides, briefs, and short posts that people actually finish.
  • Ideate: Pitch angles and formats; maintain a simple editorial calendar.
  • Synthesize: Turn dense evidence (awards, media, publications) into plain-English summaries.
  • Enable: Create checklists, one-pagers, and FAQs for non-lawyer audiences.
  • Quality: Fact-check, cite properly, and keep tone/style consistent across posts.

Ideal Candidate

  • Background in Law / Policy / IR / Journalism / Communications (students welcome).
  • Crisp writing with strong structure and headlines.
  • Loves digging through sources and verifying facts.
  • Can propose topics, outline quickly, and ship on a cadence.
  • Comfortable using AI for outlines, summaries, and idea generation.

Core Skills

  • Synthesis & framing (what matters, why now, who cares).
  • Citation hygiene (traceable sources, correct references).
  • Editorial discipline (briefs, outlines, versions, deadlines).
  • Content systems (Docs/Notion; basic SEO hygiene without writing for robots).
