Company Description

Shri Mahavir Ferro Alloys Private Limited (SMFA), established in 1996 in Odisha, started operations in with a 100 TPD sponge iron kiln. The company has expanded to include additional kilns, induction furnaces, a continuous casting machine, and a 12 MW coal-based Captive Power Plant. SMFA also boasts a private freight terminal and a 1 MW solar power plant, showcasing its commitment to sustainable energy. The company is rapidly growing with several ongoing expansion projects, including a rolling mill and ferro alloy plant.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Environment Officer located in Odisha, India. The Environment Officer will be responsible for ensuring environmental compliance, developing and implementing environmental policies, addressing environmental issues, and conducting environmental impact assessments. The role also involves staying updated on environmental laws and regulations, and providing guidance on best practices for environmental management within the company.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Environmental Compliance and Environmental Policy
  • Knowledge of Environmental Issues and Environmental Impact Assessment
  • Familiarity with Environmental Law and Regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on-site
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in the manufacturing or ferro alloys industry is a plus
