Organization Description

Chaitanya Kul is a community-based learning initiative in
Mau, Eastern Uttar Pradesh
, started in 2018. We began as an after school program (Jan 2018 – Mar 2025), creating a safe, joyful space for children from marginalized communities to learn, play, and grow together.

Now, we are moving towards
structured programs
that strengthen education and youth leadership:

• Sparsh
  – Implemented in partnership with
  Mera Gaon Meri Dunia
  , Sparsh works with government schools to reimagine education for bridging gaps in age apt learning outcome, and build grassroots youth leadership.
• CK Ultimate
  – A sports for development program that uses
  Ultimate Frisbee
  to nurture teamwork, resilience, and values in children and youth.

We want to nurture
mindful, compassionate, and capable young people
who can thrive with dignity and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Role Description

This is a full time, on site role for a Program Manager located in Mau. Chaitanya Kul, in partnership with
Mera Gaon Meri Dunia
, is implementing
Project Sparsh
in
Kopa block, Mau (U.P.)
. Sparsh reimagines education in government schools for bridging gaps in age apt learning outcome, creating a learning conducive environment for children of the village. Making learning joyful and rooted in values, and nurturing
grassroots youth leadership
as a driver of systemic change.

The Program Manager will play a dual role: supporting
youth fellows
as leaders of transformation, while also ensuring strong
program design, monitoring, and donor reporting
for long term sustainability. Daily tasks include planning and implementing program activities, managing program budgets, evaluating program outcomes, and collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to ensure the success of each program.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide
  youth fellows
  working in government schools.
• Design and adapt program strategies, frameworks, and school engagement models.
• Build strong relationships with schools, teachers, parents, panchayats, and local networks.
• Develop and manage
  monitoring & evaluation systems
  to track learning outcomes.
• Write compelling
  proposals, donor reports, and program documentation
  .
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and timely reporting.
• Document field learnings and share stories of change from children, fellows, and communities.
• Represent Chaitanya Kul in partner and government forums.

What We Are Looking For

• Passion for
  education reform and grassroots youth leadership
  .
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's in education, development studies, or social sciences desirable.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience (education programs, grassroots initiatives, or program management).
• Strong facilitation and mentoring skills with youth and children.
• Proven ability in
  program design, proposal writing, and donor reporting
  .
• High initiative, ownership, and adaptability to rural contexts.
• Willingness for a
  long-term commitment
  in Mau, U.P.
