Job Description

  1. Bidding & Tender Management

Lead the end-to-end bidding process for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hybrid, etc.).

Analyze tender documents (RFPs, RFQs) and coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, legal, procurement) to prepare competitive bids.

Develop pricing strategies and ensure compliance with bid requirements.

Liaise with government agencies, utilities, and regulatory bodies for bid clarifications and submissions.

  1. Financial Modeling & Analysis

Build and maintain detailed financial models for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hybrid, etc.) using Excel or specialized tools.

Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses (e.g., P50, P90, P99) to assess project viability.

Calculate key financial metrics: IRR (Project & Equity), NPV, DSCR, LLCR, Payback Period, and Cash Flow Projections.

Incorporate CAPEX, OPEX, tariff assumptions, degradation, and financing structures (debt/equity) into models.

  1. Project Evaluation & Feasibility

Conduct techno-commercial evaluations of potential projects.

Analyze market trends, regulatory frameworks, and policy impacts on project economics.

Support due diligence for M&A or greenfield project opportunities.

  1. Stakeholder Coordination

Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, legal, procurement, operations) for data collection and validation.

Support investor presentations, board decks, and internal approvals.

Coordinate with external consultants, lenders, and advisors for project financing.

  1. Strategic Support

Assist in developing long-term business strategies and investment plans.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation planning.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel-based tools.

In-depth understanding of renewable energy project finance, including PPAs, tariff structures, and regulatory frameworks.

Knowledge of bidding processes in government and private sector renewable energy tenders.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Familiarity with three-statement financial models, cash flow waterfalls, and sensitivity analysis.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related field.

MBA/PGDM in Finance or Energy Management (preferred).

4–7 years of experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or power sector, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
