Home & Building Magazine by CREDAI – MCHI is seeking a highly skilled Senior Video Editor with a passion for documentary storytelling and short-form blogging content. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in video editing and production, with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives for both long-form and quick-turnaround projects. This role requires a creative professional who can manage the entire video production lifecycle, from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring all content is high-quality, engaging, and aligned with our brand's unique voice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, shooting, and editing of high-quality documentary-style videos and compelling short-form blogging content.
  • Manage all aspects of videography and video editing, including camera operation, lighting, sound, and framing, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and creative teams to develop visual content that supports brand and project goals.
  • Take ownership of the entire video production process, from pre-production to post-production, ensuring timely delivery of all projects.
  • Perform advanced video editing tasks such as color correction, sound editing, motion graphics, and special effects using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro.
  • Review and approve final cuts to ensure content meets our quality and brand standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior editors, providing them with technical expertise and creative direction in documentary and blogging content creation.
  • Maintain an organized library of footage and assets, ensuring proper storage, backup, and easy accessibility.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, editing techniques, and video production technologies to enhance the quality of work.
  • Provide creative solutions to enhance video production and ensure the final product aligns with brand expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Film Production, Multimedia, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 5 to 8 years in video editing, preferably in a production house or agency environment.
  • Expert proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro.
  • Strong creative vision with a demonstrated ability to tell compelling stories through documentary and blogging formats.
  • In-depth knowledge of videography techniques, including camera operation, lighting, sound, and framing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines on multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience mentoring and managing junior editors.
