The Electrical Planning Engineer plays a critical role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring electrical works within civil construction projects. The position involves developing project timelines, coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines, and ensuring timely execution of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, BMS, and related services in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed electrical project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams to integrate electrical activities into overall construction plans.
  • Evaluate and analyse project timelines, resources, and potential delays to maintain project efficiency.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for electrical works and contribute to project control meetings.
  • Monitor site execution progress of electrical systems and ensure alignment with approved schedules and specifications.
  • Assist in preparing work breakdown structures (WBS), resource-loaded schedules, and look-ahead schedules.
  • Track material procurement schedules and ensure timely availability of electrical components and systems.
  • Liaise with electrical subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to coordinate timely execution of tasks.
  • Review shop drawings, method statements, and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Analyse variations and support claims and extension of time (EOT) documentation when delays occur.
  • Participate in risk assessments and help mitigate electrical project risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3–8 years of experience in electrical planning within civil construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel. Solid knowledge of electrical systems in construction projects (e.g., LV/HV, power distribution, lighting, ELV systems).
  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques (earned value management, critical path method).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
