PCB Designer(ELECTRICAL ENGINEER)

Key Responsibilities1. PCB Layout Design

• Design the layout of single-sided, double-sided, or multi-layer PCBs using tools like Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, EAGLE, or Mentor Graphics.

• Optimize placement of components for signal integrity, power distribution, thermal performance, and manufacturability.

• Schematic Capture

• Interpret or create circuit schematics to translate electrical designs into physical layouts.

• Work closely with hardware engineers to understand circuit functionality and design requirements.

• Design Rule Checks (DRC) & Electrical Rule Checks (ERC)

• Ensure that the board design complies with electrical constraints, spacing rules, and manufacturing limitations.

• Run automated checks and fix issues.

• Component Library Management

• Create and manage component footprints and symbols.

• Maintain an organized and accurate component library.

• Gerber File Generation

• Generate Gerber files, Bill of Materials (BOM), and pick-and-place files required for fabrication and assembly.

• Collaboration & Communication

• Work with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, fabricators, and assembly teams.

• Participate in design reviews, provide updates, and incorporate feedback.

• DFM & DFA Compliance

• Ensure that the design follows Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

• Prototyping & Testing Support

• Assist in the prototyping phase and work with the test team to identify and resolve design issues.

• Documentation

• Provide thorough documentation of designs, including version control, layer stack-up, fabrication notes, and assembly instructions.

• Compliance & Standards

• Adhere to industry standards such as IPC standards, EMI/EMC guidelines, and RoHS compliance.

Desirable Skills

Essential Skills:

• Technical Proficiency:Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit theory, and PCB design principles.
• Software Skills:Expertise in PCB design software like Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro.
• Collaboration and Communication:Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate design requirements clearly.
• Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve design issues.
• Schematic Conversion:They take electronic schematics as input and translate them into a physical PCB layout, ensuring correct electrical connections and functionality.
• Design Optimization:Designers optimize the PCB layout for performance, reliability, and manufacturability, considering factors like signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal management.
• Documentation:They prepare and review documentation for manufacturers, including schematics, assembly drawings, and fabrication files.
• Collaboration:PCB designers work closely with engineers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to ensure the final product meets all requirements.
• Troubleshooting:They troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues, providing support to engineering and manufacturing teams.

QUALIFICATION

• 1 YEAR MIN EXP AS PCB DESIGNER
• B.TECH OR M.TECH ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONICS/ETC/INSTRUMENTATION/MECHATRONICS

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹250, ₹350,000.00 per year
