You will develop scalable production-grade code across Meta's platforms in collaboration with other product engineering teams. You will get to learn and build on different tech stacks and languages. Partner Engineer, Payments Responsibilities

• Work with Payment partners to work on initiatives across the Meta family of apps to help design and integrate with them to power world-class payment experiences for our customers
• Engage with technical teams at partners (FinTechs, Banks, Networks, etc.) and payment regulators to represent the best interest of our payment users and their experience using our services
• Build new products and improve existing ones in collaboration with Meta product engineering teams and cross-functional partners to meet business needs
• Build & maintain scaled capabilities required to drive product adoption & spend growth across partners to meet business needs
• Understand and apply knowledge of products, technologies, and business to build solutions to solve for problems at scale
• Design, build & integrate end-to-end systems and launch-plan strategies
• Use broad range of technical and soft skills to build productive relationships with our partners, and independently resolve complex technical and business needs
• Use expertise and product insight to deliver high-quality project/integration/partner engagements, while influencing product roadmap to meet the business needs
• Guide workflow changes, and gain consensus from stakeholders while driving toward solutions
• Respond and maintain effective communication with industry partners and internal stakeholders
• Build and manage working relationships with technical counterparts. Mentor and share knowledge with peers, creating a positive atmosphere amongst the team
• Coding, code reviews and provide constructive feedback while quickly actioning feedback from code reviews conducted of your code
• Influence decision-making through presentation of data-centric business topics
• Serve as a subject matter expert within Partner Engineering and provide consultation on domain-level projects
• Represent Meta and our products, APIs, and tools in partner meetings and industry events
• Participate in interviewing and onboarding of new team members

Travel Requirement: up to 20 PERCENT of the time

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years as a software engineer building and shipping production quality code
• Experience with open source languages such as PHP, Python, Android, Swift, Java, or JavaScript Frameworks
• Experience with shipping reliable, scalable, and efficient code, with an emphasis on long-term maintainability, in partnership with all appropriate reviewers, in manageable pieces with relevant documentation and test plans
• Experience in designing & architecting end-to-end systems
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree to be completed prior to joining Meta

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in breaking down business needs into product & technical features based on the required technical investment
• Experience as a technical consultant to determine the right technical investment based on business needs
• Experience working in highly collaborative environments
• Client/partner-facing and/or experience communicating to an audience
• Experience working on multi-person code bases including open source or personal projects
• Understanding of relevant payment technologies in India (e.g., UPI, NetBanking, RuPay, IMPS, etc.) is a plus
• Understanding of common payment security and compliance practices in India is a plus
