Role & responsibilities

Job Summary

The role VM Risk & Enterprise Solution (BRE) reports to Head IT Platforms in Information Technology. The

main job is to manage end-to-end Risk related projects. Implementation of IT projects for Risk & Policy using

BRE platforms such as Experian, FICO Blaze Advisor, Drools, or DMN tools, including automation of

underwriting and other projects that will positively improve the risk monitoring framework via a multi-

disciplinary, highly skilled team while meeting development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution

meets the technical specifications and design requirements.

The position focuses on driving automation and accuracy in decision-making processes across lending products,

including Personal Loans, Business Loans, Home Loans, and Loan Against Property (LAP)

Business Needs

Analysis & Translation
• Understand business scenarios & market trends & find technology opportunities for implementing for Risk Management & Underwriting solutions
• Identify automation opportunities and design rule-based solutions for loan origination and underwriting.
• Supervise documentation of business needs and related technology solutions to meet the technology goals.
• Own the end-to-end rule configuration lifecycle using platforms like Experian, Blaze Advisor, Drools, or DMN tools.
• Supervise and validate documentation of functional and technical specifications using BRE tools.

Business case development
• Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to identify additional technology opportunities for the organization
• Lead the creation and review of complex business cases for new rule-based initiatives.
• Clearly articulate the proposed technology use case, related financial analysis, risks, alignment with business strategy to stakeholders

Requirement Gathering& Analysis
• Examines the entire business application from workflow and an end user perspective
• Reviews business requirements from multiple user areas to ensure compatibility, Mediates for gaps, conflicts or inconsistencies across requirements

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (credit, risk, ops, legal, compliance, IT) to gather, document, and prioritize rule requirements.
  • Lead workshops and walkthroughs with stakeholders to review business rule logic, scenarios, and outcomes.
  • Implements new processes and tolls to gather requirements
  • Identifies all points of contact from the system perspective and communicates with relevant stakeholders
  • Identifies impact of proposed requirements and provides guidance around process improvement opportunities

Technology Scan
• Applies best practices from other industries on new technology and communicates the same within team / unit /organization
• Proactively seeks opportunities to identify and recommend changes to existing architecture to enable integration of emerging technologies by piloting Proof of Concepts / prototype development

Release Management
• Leads release programs
• Develops and implements releases across functions / organizations
• Creates release plans and detailed work plans to facilitate smooth implementation
• Improves release strategy and formulates plans to initiate releases and

address resistance to change
• Reviews release process to identify improvements in the process

Incident & ProblemManagement(Application)
• Assists in the development of policies, procedures and techniques in order to minimize future incident / problem occurrence
• Lead root cause analysis of BRE logic failures or unexpected outcomes.
• Implements applications / tools to maximize system integrity
• Ensures that appropriate action is taken to investigate and resolve problems and documents within the relevant reporting system
• Coordinates the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures

Planning & Budgeting &Vendor Management
• Knowledge of forecasting / budgeting tools and techniques
• Understands the inputs required to produce an accurate budgetary estimate
• Analyses reports and provides summary to leadership
• Evaluate and work with third-party BRE vendors and partners.
• Review vendor SLAs, raise performance concerns, and manage escalations.
• Ensure optimal utilization of vendor resources and technology licenses.
