Role Overview

Wipro Innovation Network (WIN) Labs is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior / Lead Cloud Engineer to join our Robotics & Embodied AI team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud architecture, deployment, and operations with expertise across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms. This role is pivotal in designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud and on-premise infrastructure to support advanced robotics simulation and AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust cloud architectures, virtual machines (VMs), services, and compute clusters at scale on AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms for robotics simulation and AI workloads.
• Collaborate closely with internal infrastructure teams to ensure all deployments comply with organisational security standards and best practices.
• Automate provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and management of cloud resources to optimise performance and cost.
• Deploy & Manage hybrid (cloud + local) Development environments for the whole team
• Evaluate and recommend cloud solutions, tools, and frameworks suitable for high-performance robotics and AI applications.

• Support and manage on-premise servers and hybrid cloud environments across multiple locations as required.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud and on-prem deployments, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical workloads.
• Stay updated on latest cloud innovations and emerging technologies relevant to robotics and AI, and proactively introduce improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Expert-level proficiency in AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud services (compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring, automation, etc.).

• Strong experience with Linux distributions (primarily Ubuntu, RHEL) & shell scripting

• Strong experience with automation tools (such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  Good Experience with VM software such as VirtualBox for local VMs

• Solid understanding of security practices, compliance requirements, and network architectures in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting high-compute workloads such as robotics simulation, AI/ML pipelines, or similar domains.
• Proven track record in collaborating with cross-functional teams, especially internal infrastructure and security teams.
• Good communication skills and ability to document solutions and processes clearly.

• Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience managing on-premise server infrastructure in addition to cloud environments.

• Familiarity with Version Control, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Background in robotics, AI, or simulation workloads is a strong plus.
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI workflows and Exposure to Generative AI & Agentic AI tools/frameworks/workflows is a plus
