Role Overview

We are seeking a
Cost Accountant
to join our Finance team and lead cost analysis across
all business verticals
. This is a
full-time, on-site role
in
Halol, Vadodara
, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary manufacturing environment.

The role may require
periodic travel to company locations across India
to support cost audits, inventory reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems tailored to each business vertical.
• Analyze production costs, overheads, and operational expenses.
• Conduct
  variance analysis
  and report deviations from standard costs.
• Collaborate with
  engineering, procurement, and operations
  to ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Monitor inventory levels and reconcile physical counts with financial records.
• Prepare
  monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports
  for management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
• Assist in
  audit preparation
  and ensure compliance with financial standards.
• Recommend
  cost-saving initiatives
  and process improvements.
• Analyze profitability by product, division, and customer.
• Participate in
  new product costing
  , pricing strategies, and margin analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
• Support ERP implementation and data integrity for cost modules.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter / CMA preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in
  engineering or manufacturing
  .
• Strong understanding of
  GAAP
  ,
  standard costing
  , and
  ERP systems
  .
• Proficiency in
  Microsoft Excel
  and financial modeling.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate financial insights clearly.
• Experience with
  inventory management
  , BOMs, and production costing.

Desirable Skills

• Hands-on experience with
  ERPNext
  , including setting up accounting policies, workflows, and administrative controls to ensure best practices in cost management and reporting.
• Knowledge of
  activity-based costing
  ,
  lean accounting
  , and
  sustainability accounting
  .
• Experience in
  multi-vertical cost analysis
  and
  project-based environments
  .
• Exposure to
  automation
  ,
  supply chain optimization
  , and
  cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis
  .
• Ability to manipulate large datasets and generate actionable dashboards.
