ExxonMobil's affiliates have offices in India in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and the National Capital Region.

ExxonMobil's affiliates in India supporting the Product Solutions business engage in the marketing, sales, and distribution of performance as well as specialty products across chemicals and lubricants businesses. The India planning teams are also embedded with global business units for business planning and analytics.

ExxonMobil's LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other ExxonMobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.

The Global Business Center - Technology Center provides a range of technical and business support services for ExxonMobil's operations around the globe.

ExxonMobil is seeking qualified individuals to provide non-metallics materials for including protective coatings, thermal insulation, fireproofing, elastomers, plastics, and composites technical support to its oil and gas production, refining, transportation, and chemicals operations and projects. The candidate would be part of ExxonMobil's Materials Engineering team in ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering Company, working out of ExxonMobil's Bengaluru Campus (Prestige Shantiniketan) in India. The candidate would be responsible for working with multi-discipline teams to execute/establish/improve non-metallics materials related work processes/solutions/ recommendations.

What you will do:

• Provide timely technical support focused on non-metallics materials selection, usage, troubleshooting, and general guidance, including failure analysis to our Upstream and Downstream Operating sites.
• Provide non-metallics materials support for green field capital and brownfield projects.
• Lead coating and linings and polymer and composite manufacturing supplier assessment and qualification to support the business needs.
• Lead material qualification activities, from identification to deployment, as part of the approval process of new technologies or R&D activities.
• Update a core set of discipline-specific engineering and guidance documents that disseminate internal and industry best practices.
• Capture lessons learned and best practices to deploy across Operating assets and Projects to maximize the value.

Skills and Qualifications:

• M.Tech in Polymer Science or Polymer Technology or Polymer Engineering from a recognized university with CGPA >7.0 with no backlogs.
• Knowledge of Polymer and Composite Properties, Property Testing and Characterization, and Engineering Polymer Technology is essential.
• Minimum qualification requirement – Passed out from 2020 to 2025

Preferred Qualifications/Experiences:

• Proven problem-solving ability, and able to work independently as well as part of a project team
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Work shift is normally in the afternoon shift (01:30 pm to 10:30 pm) with flexibility to meet business needs.
• Flexibility to travel internationally and support sites remotely as per business needs.
