Job DescriptionWhat you'll be doing

In Packaging and Consumption we serve all of Zendesk's customers across all segments so they get what they've paid for, know what they have and pay for what they use. We are seeking a product manager for our team, license and group management domain. In this role you'll work on making team management easier for our administrators, integrating acquisitions to make them feel like Zendesk products, and drive adoption of our products. 

You will partner with an engineering manager to oversee the roadmap for your Pune-based scrum team of 8 engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders across our Packaging and Consumption group, as well as other product teams and IT CXS on program delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product leaders on the product strategy and roadmap for team, license and group management

  • Gather and analyze feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to understand problems to solve/jobs to be done

  • Design solutions and write requirements for new product features

  • Maintain and groom the backlog and roadmap for the product team

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Packaging and Consumption, Product and IT CXS to ensure seamless product launches and updates

  • Attend daily & weekly team rituals, regular internal & external meetings 

​What you bring to the role

  • A minimum of 2 years of product management experience, preferably within a SaaS environment and at least working on cloud-based products or services

  • High level of accountability for meeting objectives, commitments and timelines

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate product strategy and roadmap to stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work across various teams and stakeholders

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify efficiency opportunities and make data-driven decisions

  • Solid technical understanding for SaaS and internet applications, including databases, systems architectures, back-end services, APIs and event streaming

  • Demonstrated experience conducting customer research to inform product decisions

Basic Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, computer science, engineering or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Beyond the bachelor's degree, we are most interested in your work experience, which demonstrates your strong personal accountability, communication skills and availability to collaborate.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
