The role involves supporting the Operational Excellence Leader in driving the company's Operational Excellence OpEx initiatives across designated sites. The position focuses on implementing OpEx tools, facilitating continuous improvement, and supporting teams in achieving productivity, quality, and efficiency goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process Analysis and Improvement

    Conduct method and time studies to establish standard times and identify best operating methods.

    Support the OpEx Leader in executing Operational Excellence programs across assigned sites.

    Assess current As Is processes and collaborate on developing and implementing improved Future State processes.

    Track and document improvements, updating the Value Stream Map VSM as required.
  2. Continuous Improvement and Training

    Design and implement sensitization programs to encourage Continuous Improvement CI ideas from all levels of the workforce.

    Coordinate CI award programs and ensure timely recognition of contributions.

    Conduct training sessions on Operational Excellence tools for employees at various levels.
  3. Project Implementation and Reporting

    Coordinate and support process improvement initiatives at designated sites.

    Independently drive and deliver cross functional improvement projects.

    Prepare project closure reports and maintain accurate documentation of all OpEx activities.

    Develop and share Management Information System MIS reports, including site dashboards, for section heads and leadership.

    Report progress, challenges, and gaps in OpEx implementation to the Operational Excellence Leader.

    Participate in problem solving meetings and continuous improvement reviews.
  4. Compliance and Organizational Responsibilities

    Adhere to the company's Health Safety and Environment HSE policies.

    Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality management systems.

    Participate actively in learning, development, and upskilling initiatives.

    Perform any additional duties assigned by the reporting manager.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering or Technology preferably Chemical Engineering.

Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of post qualification experience in Operational Excellence, Production, or Process Engineering within the Oleoresin or related process industries such as food ingredient extraction, essential oils, flavors and fragrances, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, solvent extraction, or edible oil refining.

Strong shop floor presence and willingness to spend significant time in manufacturing environments.

Proficiency in Minitab, MS Office, and MS Visio.

Excellent facilitation, collaboration, and communication skills.

Proactive, open minded, and committed to helping others improve.

Fluency in Malayalam preferred.
