Role Overview

As Engineering Manager Interop, youll lead a team of software and data engineers focused on FHIR-based interoperability solutions. Youll drive technical excellence, mentor talent, and collaborate across global teams to deliver scalable healthcare data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage software development teams (10+ members)
  • Drive FHIR Interop projects and Center of Excellence initiatives
  • Mentor engineers and ensure adherence to architecture and coding standards
  • Collaborate on software architecture and cloud-native solutions
  • Manage cross-regional teams (India, US, Nepal)
  • Conduct performance reviews and career development planning
  • Ensure secure handling of confidential healthcare data

Technical Skills Required

  • 7+ years in commercial software development
  • 5+ years managing software teams
  • 3+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • 2+ years with FHIR standards and APIs (e.g., AWS HealthLake, Firely)
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, cloud architecture, MPP frameworks (e.g., Spark), and scalable distributed systems
  • Experience with open-source tools and agile methodologies
  • Bonus: Experience with Databricks, Snowflake
