Job Description: Business Development Executive
Company: Vama Dyes and Pigments (Group Company of Dyes Sales Corporation, est Location: Mumbai (with travel across India)
Introduction
Vama Dyes and Pigments, incorporated in 2019, is a trusted name in the dyes and pigments industry, building on the legacy of Dyes Sales Corporation since 1968. We import and locally procure colorants to serve diverse industries including paints (interior, exterior, automotive), plastics, rubber, inks, hygiene products, and more. With a strong presence across India, we are looking for ambitious and driven Business Development Executives to join our growing team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify key decision-makers in customer organizations and build strong, lasting relationships.
- Develop new business opportunities while nurturing existing accounts for repeat sales.
- Provide quotations, negotiate terms, and close profitable deals.
- Act as a strategic bridge between the company and current/future markets.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence to support pricing, delivery, and product positioning.
- Represent the company at trade exhibitions, industry events, and customer demonstrations.
- Consistently review performance, aiming to exceed sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, orders, and customer interactions; report to Sales Head.
- Provide insights on future buying trends and customer needs.
- Participate in company-arranged training programs (including weekends if required) and adopt new methods to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Ensure punctuality and professionalism during office hours and customer visits.
- Manage enquiry, order, and sample registers; promptly update visit reports and follow-ups.
Job Specification: Business Development Executive
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales/marketing of goods, preferably industrial products.
- Fresh graduates with exceptional communication skills and strong drive will also be considered.
Skills, Knowledge & Characteristics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Team-oriented with proven ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively.
- Demonstrated success in increasing sales and improving business processes.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to new ideas.
- Proficiency in internet research, social media, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Customer-focused mindset with proven ability in product evangelism and outreach.
- Experience in dynamic, flexible, and empowering work environments (SMEs preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in reporting and documentation.
Other Requirements
- Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India (by bus, train, flight, or other modes).
- Flexibility to stay outstation during customer visits.
- High level of professionalism, punctuality, and accountability.
