Lead Solution Architect

Today, some of the fastest-growing companies in the emerging markets (Ola, Swiggy, Flipkart, GoJek, Byju's, Urban Company, HDFC Bank, Zomato, Oyo, etc.) manage their customer engagement with Exotel's suite of a communication API, Ameyo's omnichannel contact centre (merger), and Cogno AI's conversational AI platform (acquisition) over the cloud. We are a $100 million Series D funded company with $60 million in ARR.

We are looking for a Solutions Architect Lead to head Exotel's Solutions Architecture team. This role is at the forefront of enterprise engagements—working closely with large customers to understand their environment, map requirements, and design solutions using Exotel's suite of products. You will be the technical face of Exotel in customer interactions, ensuring our offerings are positioned, adapted, and deployed to maximize business impact.

Enterprise Solutioning

• Engage with enterprise customers to deeply understand their business, technical landscape, and communication needs.

• Design and propose tailored solutions using Exotel's existing product suite (Contact Center, Voice & Messaging APIs, IVR, AI Bots, etc).

• Ensure solution fitment with customer IT and business environments, including integration with CRMs, helpdesks, ERPs, and other enterprise systems.

• Customer Engagement & Pre-Sales Support

  • Partner with Sales to lead technical discussions, demos, workshops, and RFP/RFI responses.

  • Build trust with customer technology and business teams by articulating Exotel's value, scalability, and compliance readiness.

  • Create solution proposals, architecture diagrams, and integration blueprints.

• Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of Solutions Architects; guide them in best practices for solution design, customer engagement, and technical presentations.

  • Establish repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and reference architectures for common customer use cases.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Product Management to channel customer feedback into future product improvements.

  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Engineering to ensure smooth solution delivery and handover post-sales.

• Thought Leadership & Evangelism

  • Represent Exotel in customer forums as a trusted technical advisor.

  • Contribute to case studies and best-practice documentation.

Experience

• 10+ years in Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales Engineering, or similar roles in enterprise technology.

• Experience with CCaaS / CPaaS platforms, cloud contact centers, or enterprise communication solutions is preferred but alternatively experience in B2B Enterprise software solutioning

• Ability to lead a team and handle customer situation

• Technical Knowledge

  • Networking, DC, ILLs, MPLS, etc

  • Kubernetes concepts

  • Cloud solutions architecture (AWS or similar SA certification preferred)

  • Voice streaming, SIP, etc

• Skills

  • Exceptional client-facing communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to simplify complex technology for enterprise stakeholders (both technical and business).

  • Proven leadership in managing or mentoring teams of solution engineers or architects.

  • Experience with any large enterprise segments BFSI, healthcare, logistics, or e-commerce domains.
