Job Summary

As a Financial Planner at RuDo, you will be responsible for creating clear, goal-based financial plans that help clients make confident long-term decisions. You will work closely with investment and product team to translate client goals into actionable, realistic plans.

This role is ideal for someone who believes that good financial planning is about clarity, behavior, and structure, not selling products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Client Advisory

  • Create comprehensive, goal-based financial plans covering retirement, education, major life goals, and financial independence.
  • Analyze client income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and cash flows to build realistic roadmaps.
  • Assess risk tolerance and align asset allocation with client goals and time horizons.
  • Review the client's entire existing portfolio across geographies to understand current asset allocation, diversification, overlaps, and gaps before making any recommendations.
  • Help clients understand trade-offs, priorities, and long-term implications of financial decisions.
  • Review and update financial plans periodically based on life events and market changes.

2. Client Interaction & Education

  • Conduct client conversations to understand goals, constraints, and financial behavior.
  • Explain financial plans in a simple, structured, and client-friendly manner.
  • Support advisors in ongoing client engagement and plan reviews.
  • Help clients stay disciplined and committed to long-term plans.

3. Collaboration & Platform Integration

  • Work closely with investment and research teams to align plans with portfolio strategies.
  • Collaborate with product and tech teams to improve RuDo's financial planning tools and workflows.
  • Provide feedback to enhance planning frameworks, calculators, and client journeys.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain clear and compliant documentation of financial plans and assumptions.
  • Ensure planning recommendations align with regulatory and internal advisory standards.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in financial planning or advisory roles.
  • Strong understanding of goal-based financial planning concepts.
  • Ability to translate complex financial ideas into simple explanations.
  • Client-first mindset with strong listening and communication skills.
  • Comfort working with data, numbers, and planning tools.
  • Understanding of global investment markets and asset classes, not limited to Indian products or the Indian market.
  • Certifications such as CFP, RIA, or equivalent (or in progress).
