Job Title: Planning Incharge

Experience Required: 5-8 Years

Department: Planning & Coordination

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and monitor project planning schedules, work programs, and timelines.
  • Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure accuracy for procurement and execution.
  • Handle cutting plans, estimation, and job loading to optimize productivity and material usage.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and production teams for timely availability of resources.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of manpower, machinery, and materials based on project requirements.
  • Monitor work progress against schedules and highlight delays with corrective actions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on planning, resource utilization, and project status.
  • Support management in decision-making by providing data on workload, capacity, and job status.
  • Maintain proper documentation of planning activities and project records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards during project execution.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of BOM, cutting, estimation, and job loading.
  • Expertise in planning tools/software (e.g., MS Project or ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under strict timelines.
  • Leadership skills to guide and supervise planning team members.

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering (or relevant field).
  • Certification in Project Planning / Management will be an added advantage.
