We are looking for a results-driven and technically skilled Sales Engineer to drive sales of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Chiller Plant Manager (CPM) solutions, and Controls for commercial and industrial buildings. The role requires a strong mix of technical understanding, solution selling, and customer relationship management to achieve revenue and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Sales

    • Identify and develop new business opportunities in greenfield and brownfield projects.

    • Meet assigned sales targets for controls, BMS, and energy efficiency solutions.

    • Generate, qualify, and follow up on leads from consultants, contractors, OEMs, and end-users.

    • Present and demonstrate solutions to decision-makers, highlighting value (energy efficiency, system integration, ROI).

  • Customer Engagement

    • Build strong relationships with consultants, MEP contractors, developers, and facility managers.

    • Engage in consultative selling by understanding customer pain points and proposing tailored solutions.

    • Support in preparing technical presentations, proposals, and BOQs.

    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals.

  • Market & Competition Intelligence

    • Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging technologies.

    • Provide market feedback to product and leadership teams for strategy alignment.

  • Internal Collaboration

    • Work closely with the design, execution, and service teams to ensure smooth project handover.

    • Support marketing initiatives like seminars, webinars, and exhibitions.

  • (For Manager Role)

    • Lead and mentor a sales team, setting KPIs and driving performance.

    • Manage key accounts and develop long-term strategic customer relationships.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Education:

    • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or related field.

    • MBA (Sales/Marketing) is a plus.

  • Experience:

    • Sales Engineer: 3–7 years in controls/BMS/HVAC/automation sales.

    • Sales Manager: 8–12+ years, with team handling and key account management experience.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC controls, Chiller Plant Manager (CPM), energy management, field devices, and system integration.

    • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.

    • Strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills.

    • Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as in a team.
