Job Summary

The AVP – Network & Process Excellence will be responsible for leading the strategic design and optimization of BVC's Pan-India logistics network while driving process excellence across warehouse and transportation operations. The role combines expertise in network planning, demand forecasting, route optimization, and process engineering with ownership of WMS/TMS systems, digitization, and continuous improvement. The position aims to build a resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient logistics ecosystem that ensures service reliability, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Network Planning & Optimization

• Lead Pan-India network design including hubs, warehouses, last-mile facilities.
• Optimize multi-modal logistics (road, rail, and air cargo) and drive route planning for transit time and cost reduction.
• Build agile demand forecasting models for capacity alignment with seasonal/geographic needs.
• Develop frameworks for cost-to-serve analysis and strategic decision-making.

Process Excellence & Digitization

• Map and reengineer processes across inbound, outbound, inventory, and transport.
• Lead the implementation, enhancement, and governance of WMS, TMS, and related logistics applications.
• Drive automation, digitization, and API integrations (GPS, airlines, Salesforce, routing engines).
• Standardize SOPs PAN-India and conduct regular audits for adherence.

Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Establish and monitor KPIs (on-time delivery, transit efficiency, inventory accuracy, SLA compliance, cost/kg).
• Deploy Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Benchmark against industry best practices and implement scalable solutions.
• Lead cost optimization and innovation projects (e.g., packaging standardization, routing re-design).

Resource, Vendor & Manpower Management

• Oversee fleet, manpower, and infrastructure planning aligned to business demand.
• Define manpower models, optimize shift deployment, and monitor productivity metrics.
• Drive vendor management including evaluation, onboarding, SLAs, and performance governance.
• Foster strong collaboration across business, operations, technology, and finance.

Change Management & Leadership

• Lead training programs on WMS/TMS adoption, SOP discipline, and productivity.
• Drive cultural transformation towards operational excellence and process ownership.
• Manage cross-functional projects such as new product rollouts, system upgrades, and network redesigns.

Operations Control & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to secure logistics protocols for high-value goods.
• Implement preventive/corrective action for deviations and maintain control tower visibility.
• Govern compliance with ISO, QMS/EMS, and other regulatory standards.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Education:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, or Supply Chain Engineering.
• Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), Agile Product Management, ISO QMS/EMS.

Experience:

• 15+ years in supply chain/logistics with strong exposure to network planning & process excellence.
• At least 5 years of proven leadership in WMS/TMS implementation, process improvement, and large-scale network optimization.
• Experience in secure logistics, e-commerce, 3PL, or high-volume distribution preferred.

Skills & Tools:

• Advanced knowledge of network planning, demand forecasting, WMS/TMS, SAP, Salesforce CRM.
• Strong in analytics, SQL/data analysis, dashboarding, cost-benefit modelling.
• Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, VSM, and process automation.
• Exceptional leadership, vendor management, and project management skills.
