About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Electrical Team Lead to oversee and guide a multidisciplinary team engaged in the design and integration of electrical systems for marine defence platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of naval electrical systems, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 10–15 electrical engineers in the design, analysis, and integration of electrical systems for naval vessels.
  • Oversee and review detailed design deliverables related to Power generation and distribution systems, Navigation and communication systems, Weapon and sonar systems integration, and Integrated Platform Management Systems (IPMS).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable naval standards, classification society rules, and defence specifications.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, control, and systems design teams for seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Plan and monitor project schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and technical audits.
  • Mentor team members, ensuring continuous skill enhancement and adherence to quality standards.
  • Interface with clients, vendors, and classification societies for design approvals and technical clarifications.

Qualifications & Experience Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience:
Minimum 15 years of experience
in marine electrical system design, preferably in defence or shipbuilding domain.

Proven experience in leading teams of 10–15 engineers and handling multi-project environments.

Technical Competencies
:

  • Strong knowledge of marine power systems, switchboards, cabling layouts, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with MIL standards, IEC standards, and naval specifications.
  • Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of system integration involving combat, communication, and platform management systems. Soft Skills
