Technical Instructional Designer

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze technical training needs and design instructional strategies that align
with business and learner goals.
Develop technical training content, including e-learning modules, job aids,
tutorials, simulations, and documentation.
Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging
learning experiences.
Collaborate with SMEs, developers, and product teams to ensure technical
accuracy and relevance.
Use agile instructional design models (e.g. SAM) and adult learning principles to
guide content development.
Create assessments and feedback mechanisms to evaluate learning
effectiveness.
Maintain and update training materials in line with product updates and process
changes.
Work with LMS administrators to publish and track learning content.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology,
Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience designing technical training or instructional content.
Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies and adult learning
theory.
Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe
Captivate).
Familiarity with technical domains such as software development, cloud
platforms, APIs, or data analytics.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for
diverse audiences.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with tools like Git, Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, or other e-learning standards.
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or scripting languages is a plus.
Experience creating content for developer audiences or technical support teams.
