Overview

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer (Automation) with 5+ years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have advanced expertise in Cypress and Postman, with working knowledge of Selenium. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality through comprehensive automation and manual testing while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is a remote role aligned to US EST hours (5 PM – 3 AM, Mon–Fri).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for RESTful APIs and web applications.
  • Utilize Cypress, Postman, and Selenium for both UI and API testing.
  • Identify, document, and report defects clearly using Jira, ensuring timely resolution and collaboration with developers.
  • Conduct regression, functional, and integration testing to validate application stability.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA peers to maintain high-quality standards throughout the SDLC.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) and provide valuable feedback on testing strategies.
  • Maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks for long-term use.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong focus on automation testing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Cypress for UI automation.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Selenium for web application testing.
  • Solid understanding of test case design, defect life cycle, and bug tracking.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively during US EST hours.
