About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented QA Tester (Fresher) with an ISTQB Foundation Level certification to join our team. This role is ideal for someone starting their QA career who wants to grow in software testing while contributing to delivering high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases (manual and/or automated) and report defects clearly.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using standard defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Perform different types of testing such as functional, UI, regression, smoke, and compatibility testing.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand features and resolve issues.
  • Assist in creating test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
  • Ensure adherence to QA processes and standards.

Required Qualifications

  • ISTQB Foundation Level Certified (mandatory).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not mandatory if skills are strong).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
  • Basic knowledge of manual testing techniques and test case design.
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Good to Have (Optional)

  • Basic exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter, etc.).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL for basic backend validation.
  • Internship or academic project experience in testing.
